F2 Capital & The Junction Announce Open Application Season For Wave 17!

The Junction is actively looking to back Israeli Deep Technology Companies.

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL –March 21st, 2017 – F2 Capital, a seed-stage venture capital fund backing Israeli deep technology companies, announced the launch of The Junction’s application process for Wave 17, open until May 10th 2017.

The Junction is Israel’s first commercial seed stage program, founded in 2011 by Genesis Partners, now led by F2 Capital and conducting its 16th wave.

Over the past six years, The Junction has launched 125 companies, including Appsflyer, HouseParty, Honeybook, CyberX, Kitlocate, Eatwith, Simplee and more that have raised over $345 million from funds like Sequoia, Greylock and NVP.

The Junction has also become the bridge for multinational companies to access early stage Israeli innovation with 3 exits to multinationals including Yandex, Yahoo! and Wix. The Junction sources the most relevant deal flow and provides a structured environment for multinationals to work with companies on roadmaps and launch commercial pilots.

When a company is accepted to the 6-month program, they receive layers of support:

  • Expert guidance from F2 Capital partners and leading mentors from our network, on every aspect of the company growth plan, on a tailor made basis.
  • Access to multinational partners for commercial pilots and investment.
  • Up to $100,000 of pre-seed funding on an uncapped convertible note and access to VCs for investment.
  • Free workspace, subsidies, and credits for cloud hosting and additional services.

To ensure high standards, The Junction is modeled after the Israeli military selection process for elite units known as the “Gibbush.” 250 applicants are winnowed down to 20 finalists who are invited to a 2-day “Founders camp” event, where they undergo intensive due diligence, with a focus on company positioning, market sizing, product development, technology roadmap, business model and forecast, team building and more. Corporate partners and industry leaders from Google, Yahoo, Facbook, AWS and more are also invited to meet and interact with all the final teams during this event. At the conclusion of Founders Camp, 4-6 companies will be chosen to enter the next wave and embark on six months of relentless execution.
